Uso de la inteligencia artificial para mejorar la pronunciación, gramática y vocabulario en la enseñanza del idioma inglés: Revisión sistemática

Resumen

La presente revisión, sintetiza la investigación sobre el uso de la Inteligencia Artificial (IA) para mejorar la pronunciación, gramática y vocabulario en el proceso de enseñanza del idioma inglés como lengua extranjera. Para lo cual se han evaluado las herramientas impulsadas por la IA, mediante la comparación de las capacidades de personalización, la eficacia empírica, identificando las estrategias pedagógicas y analizando los desafíos de implementación. Se realizó el análisis sistemático de más de 150 estudios empíricos, revisiones e informes de casos publicados dentro del contexto de la presente investigación, centrándose en las aplicaciones de la IA como: chatbots, reconocimiento de voz, tutorías inteligentes y plataformas de IA generativa en el contexto de inglés como segundo idioma extranjero. Los hallazgos evidencian que la IA mejora significativamente el dominio del idioma a través de una retroalimentación personalizada y adaptativa e interacciones gamificadas, los cuales mejoran la motivación y la autonomía del estudiante; sin embargo, persisten los desafíos sobre la precisión de la retroalimentación, la accesibilidad tecnológica, las preocupaciones éticas, la privacidad y sesgo de datos, y la limitada preparación de los profesores. En general, la IA demuestra un potencial transformador para la enseñanza personalizada del inglés, pero la implementación equitativa y la integración pedagógica siguen siendo fundamentales para maximizar su impacto. Estas ideas ayudan a los educadores, investigadores y responsables políticos a optimizar las aplicaciones de inteligencia artificial para promover una enseñanza y un aprendizaje del idioma inglés efectivos e inclusivos.
